Final post Ysera & Naeva

I get visitors tomorrow that are interested in both Naeva and Ysera! :e

Yaaay, they have new owners! I have a good feeling with this couple as well, and I think Naeva and Yse too, and they'll be moving Monday!

As I said before, Ysera's name comes from WoW, simply put, Ysera is a dragon that's really in her own world, which I thought of Yse as well at the start (not that she's a dragon, haha, how cool would that have been!). And there are other things from her description that I found matched this kitten. But by now she's a lot more brave and even felt comfortable enough to put on her little engine a bit when her new owners visited, she doesn't always do that around visitors either! For me she'll always be Ysera, but it's really so nice that she doesn't match the description anymore <3 and Naeva, ahhh :L I'm gonna miss these 2 quite a bit I'm afraid :(
I'm sure it'll be weird at first again as well, an empty house, but there won't be any new kittens for a while. I'm going on a holiday first, so it's not a good idea to get new kittens now, and after that I won't have time until somewhere in October. If it's still needed then, my doors will be open for kittens again! But of course I do hope it won't be needed anymore by then, and that it'll be next year again. I am gonna hang a picture of each forster kitten in the room where I have the kittens at first, I think it'll be nice to give them all a place in my house like that :)

Right, so the kittens just got picked up, and even though I'll miss them, it's ok like this :) Yesterday they both laid down on my lap (something that Yse did more often last couple of days) and I cuddled them loads, it was very nice to say goodbye like that. I did my job and they're not my cats, although these 2 were also very special to me again :)
In the next couple of days I'm gonna enjoy the calmness and having the outside door open again (I don't allow guest kittens outside, it's up to their new owners to decide if they're allowed out and my garden only has fences at the top, not at the bottom where a kitten could escape). I'm gonna clean their room completely and get it ready for a next time, even though that will be in 1.5/2 months at the earliest. And I still didn't go through a bunch of photos, I made some today as well, so I'll do a final update here sometime!

A bit late, but here are the last photos!

I got a package, the box was on the ground for like 1 second and Naeva was inside it already :)

She also helped me clean the house, every now and then she held on to that things and swiped along :D

Together with Bindi, who in the end tolerated them pretty close as well :)

And these 3 played together for a last time :)

My cats were happy that they left, although it didn't make much sense to Dewey at first. But oh well, he recovered quickly. Bindi kept chatting loads to me in the first couple of days and was so happy that the door to the storage area (and with that, the door outside which is in that little area) was open constantly, she lied next to the open door a lot at first :P For them this whole fostering thing isn't needed of course, which is also why I don't want to have kittens all the time during kitten season, but every now and then a period with some kittens works fine :)

Everything is going fine here, the kittens aren't bothered too much with the warmth, although Naeva was panting yesterday. But hey, that's what happens when you're going nuts playing in the sun! She does have a lumb on her nose since yesterday, I get the impression it's not an abscess but a lumb from bumping into something. Don't ask me how though, but she's a little hand full, so it wouldn't surprise me anyway, haha. I'll just keep a close eye on her for now, if she can heal it herself that would be best of course :)
Unfortunately I haven't heard any from possible new owners, and in a couple of weeks I can't take care of them anymore (holiday etc.), so they'd have to go back to the shelter if they don't have an owner by then. I'd be só bummered if that would happen :( So I keep my fingers crossed that they'll find an owner soon!

Anyway, photos! Ysera steals the show here, Naeva is making it hard for me at the moment to capture her well. She's moving way too much and likes to sleep in dark spots.

But other toys are fine too! She often plays with her tail blown up, and sometimes she runs around with that big tail and has it round and angled down (a bit like she has here), she looks like a My Little Pony then :)

And here are some bonusphotos! I got an email from the new owners of Appa (Amin) and Momo (Tara), look how much they've grown! Appa is becoming a big male and Momo a slim female with long legs. They're doing great and found an awesome home based on what I read :) They fixed their balcony so the cats can't get off, and that's their favorite spot now. That doesn't surprise me at all, those 2 always wanted to go outside here so it's great that they have the opportunity now! I love the last photo, look at them being an adorable couple <3

More baskets

The kittens are online now on various websites, I hope they'll find an owner fast just like Tara and Amin did and can adjust further at their new home! I also hope that because the longer they stay here, the more I'll miss them when they leave :( Especially when I look back at the first photos of Yse and how she is now, both mentally as physically. Such a little creature, so small, scared and yet so brave, seeing her improve like she did just makes her extra special <3 But oh well, it's part of fostering to say goodbye, and untill they're gone I'll just post an update every now and then :)

And I laughed so much about this! Unfortunately it's a blurry pic, but I gave them this feathery toy. Then all of a sudden I hear some soft growling and hissing, turns out it's Yse growling at that toy in her mouth! She loves it, but on the side is something that moves and makes a soft noise (the featherthing used to be attached to a playrod) and that thing was a threat for her prey :O So she kept walking around with that toy in her mouth, and Naeva following her to see what was going on didn't help either! :)

Silly kitties :)

Naeva didn't have ear mites anymore, her ears were still a bit dirty so I'm continueing with the earcleaner for a bit more. The vet had a good look in Yse's ears and she could use some cleaner as well, and so I did... Poor thing! :O

And here Naeva shows how much she enjoys my shopping bags!

Ahh! So thát's how my kitchen towels got damaged! :O

Naeva doesn't like jumping as much, she prefers climbing, which she shows well here! I think she either just likes to jump in the towels and then swing a bit, or that this was her way to try and get on the kitchen counter. My cat's food is on the dishwasher while the kittens are here, because of course that food is so much nicer than their own kittenfood! Luckily they haven't figured out yet how to get to that food. But Yse also enjoyed this, she jumped on top of Naeva and then they fell down together. Of course it's not so good that they're doing this, but I had a good laugh about it, what an enthousiasm to jump in those towels! :O

Yesterday Naeva played nice with Dew as well, I thought he was chasing her, they kept running around through the house. Turns out it was the other way around, that little things was chasing my Dew, and they had a blast! :) Naeva is really not scared at all, she often does those kittenjumps or stands on her backlegs with her front paws in the air, and then fully jumps at his face. What a kitty :)

Baskets and a bug

Yesterday I got some nice news from the owners of Tara and Amin, including a photo where those 2 are cuddly on the couch together <3 Tara is still easily spooked a bit but sounds like she's becoming more herself already, little stubborn cutie with her own opinions :) Amientje is fine with everything so far. I wasn't sure what to expect from Tara after their move, but so far it's going pretty well and it sounds like a good match!

The little girls here are doing good, they do take a lot more time for everything now that the bigger two are gone. Dew adores Ysera all of a sudden and she often gets washed bu him now. After all the ups and downs with him and the kittens I squee a bit inside everytime I see that :) This morning when I opened their door they calmly got out of their basket, ate a bit and greeted Dew who then washed Yse, and the day started calmly instead of having 4 kittens jump the door when I got near it. And today during day they were often sleeping on my desk together, so yep it's going well!

The kittens are doing well, tomorrow we'll be going for their shots and chips, I'm curious to hear what the vet thinks of Yse's nose, eye and mouth! Her mouth is missing all the bottom/middle teeth now and her eye still has a spot of scartissue but it has improved a lot. Her eyes do seem to have a different color and the pupil still is a bit off in size. Ysera looks a little bit like a bat every now and then with her pointy face, big ears and missing piece of nose :$ :)

She's doing fine further, but yesterday Naeva got stuck with a nail in Yse's bad side of her nose >.< I wanted to help out but spooked Ysera and she pulled herself loose and then she kept sneezing to get all the blood out of her nose. A few minutes later I was still horrified but she was running around happy again (and you can't see anything on her nose anymore now). And Naeva? I don't think she even noticed something was up :P

Naeva is a little lady as well now, no little fuzzy ball of meow anymore but a real mini-cat, and oh what a delightful character she has! She's clearly a tortie but in a very fun way. My screen stays fun and she likes to lie with me, so either on me or on my desk. Dew at times washes her as well now, aaww!

Naeva still loves my desk and is often there (her eye is all fine again)

Next to my desk I have these purple baskets with random clutter and nail polish stuff, Naeva often went to lie on top of all that. Polish remover works fine as a pillow :)

And polish itself is also nice to sleep against :O

 Because Naeva loves those baskets so much and Yse often wants to join but just doesn't fit in anymore, I gave them an empty one on my desk.

It's a bit tricky at times to fold it all in place, but it fits!

I gave them dried matatabi leaves the other day and Yse went to check out what her big friend had

Naeva was too busy with other things to notice there were leaves on the ground...

Dewey is still quite dominant to Naeva at times, but he washes her as well

And when she had enough, his paws are big enough to easily hold her down :P

Ysera was really tired after my parents visited and my dad played loads with her, she fell asleep like this

And when it gets too warm in the sun she just moves a bit out of the sun and lies against the cool heater

Her little tongue often hangs out of her mouth :) (unfortunately she was sitting right in front of that lamp) I guess she does it more often than most cats because of her missing teeth

Ysera enjoys me playing WoW, bird on the screen!

Dewey came in today with something big that was moving and made noise, as usual Yse put on her engine and went purring to Dew to have a look at what he had. As you can see Dewey tolerates a lot from her, at times he's a bit bossy and sometimes he finds it all a bit tiring, but all in all he likes her a lot. And she totally adores him! :)

Dew was so sweet to give her his prey after a while (although it didn't taste so well, I guess it had something to do with that :P)

And after draggin it a bit, biting it here and there (while purring loud!) she also slapped it around a bit

Yesterday they got their shots and chips which went well for both of them. Ysera's eye is still healing so it's unsure how that'll go further. Because her pupil isn't working 100% (yet), she'll have a bit more issues with light/dark, but she's used to it as well. It's unsure if her teeth grow back, but it doesn't bother her. Besides that it's a happy and calm kitty ♥ Naeva is a lovely, stubborn and naughty kitten, also very creative in being naughty, but she can also be adorable when sleeping on my lap (and if I don't want that, that's my problem and not hers! ^_^). And shopping bags (empty or not) are awesome!
