Salla has moved

Unfortunately she hasn't moved to a new owner though, instead she went back to the shelter yesterday. I'll be moving soon and after discussing it with the shelter we decided it's best for her to be there now. She'd have to move either way, with me or to the shelter, and the shelter isn't the most ideal situation for her of course, but the chance that she'll get adopted is bigger there. It's not fun at all to bring a kitten back and I hoped I wouldn't have to do that anymore, but luckily she did so much better than what I hoped and expected when I brought her there! :) She's in a room with other cats (I think that room had 4), and she was walking around and discovering the room straight away! She did look a bit scared and she meowed loads (without sound, too funny :O), but I think it went great and I was really proud of her :) I hope she'll find a new owner soon and that she'll adjust well at her new home then!

She did so great in the last period here, the only thing that didn't go so well yet was being picked up and then held, she had some bad experiences with that but she was still improving as well. I think she's gonna make her new owner(s) very happy, she's adorable :L Of course I miss her though and so does Dew, when I came home without her he went searching and when he couldn't find her, he started to search me, digging in my clothes and stuff. It's a bit sad but he made me laugh :) After that he was fine again, although this morning he was meowing loads, haven't heard him meow like that in a while now. It was his second time having a fosterkitten around, the previous 4 were all aopted from my house so he saw the new owners pick them up, this time was different. But hopefully he'll understand it better next time, just like Bindi and Sue seem to do. Bindi and Sue didn't mind her at all, she was the first kitten that really did so well with them, probably because she was a bit older already. Aaaanyway, here's the last bunch of pics. Again most are taken with my phone so the quality ain't all that, but that doesn't make her any less cute :)

Playing on the bed in the kittenroom

I was wondering why my shoes were spread through the room with the shoelaces untied... :O

On top of her furry friend

As I said before she was free to walk around in the house 24/7 in the end, she got to experience moving bedsheets, and boy did she love that! Often she just jumped with a high kittenjump to land on anything that moved, so funny to see :O Luckily she was great during nights, at times she slept with me on the bed somewhere, but she wouldn't mess around while I was sleeping.

And when I was slacking on the couch with a blanket it didn't take long before she joined me :)

Snoozing

And when Bindi was lying there, she went silly-mode!

On my lap looking along at my screen

After I started packing, it didn't take long before she was walking on all the boxes as well. And when a new bunch of empty boxes arrived, she quickly joined Dewey on top of them. Dew was interested in the boxes, but Salla was interested in his wiggling tail instead! And of course she did attack it in the end as well ^_^

Dew's often sitting in the window looking at me when I leave or get back home and lately Salla joined him as well

And here she was in the shelter, her head looks a bit fluffy because of the collar they wear there. As you can see she does look a bit scared and impressed, but she was so brave! There are plenty of hiding spots but after checking the room out quite a bit she went to sit on a higher spot to oversee the room :)

**Update** Salla got adopted pretty quickly, together with another cat and is doing fine from what I heard! :)

This blog will be quiet for a while now, because I'm gonna move first and it's not kittenseason yet, so luckily there's not many kittens in need of a fosterhome now (and hopefully that'll stay that way of course!). Thanks for looking :)

Lots of random Salla pics!

Here's little miss adorable again :)

The other day I offered her an activity board, but Salla didn't get it. Bindi showed how to fish for the candy with her paws...

... but Salla kept trying to just eat them from the board, which won't work! In the end she gave up :)

She's still often on the couch, snoozing and sleeping

And she can lie close to my girls as well. She looks pretty big here, but that's mainly the angle.

The other day I looked behind me and saw Salla lieing against Bindi o_O Omg! Bindi tolerates kittens near her, but she never allowed any cat to touch her (she missed that part of her socialization too). If I count in Sue as well, Salla's the 9th kitten that tried to get closer to Bindi and this time she didn't run away or get annoyed and chase the kitten away with a hiss or some. They actually lied like this for quite some time, and I just sat there shocked, lol! It hasn't happened since, but that was a very precious moment ♥

Dewey on the other hand has little issues with getting close to Salla, here she was snoozing and he went to wash her

And here they're washing each other, aww

It snowed! And it didn't last long before I had little kittenpaws all over my windows ^_^

Dewdew was slacking next to me but Salla wanted to play :O

He was all sleepy and barely reacted to her attacking his head

His paw is just hanging there, not caring about all the things Salla was doing. They're so cute together :)

Posing near my screen. Several similar pictures, but I couldn't choose!

The other day I put a little Christmas tree next to my desk (I don't dare to go for something a lot bigger or a real one even, such things bring out Dew's inner kitten, but then in a 4.5kg cat. Recipe for disaster! :D). Salla spotted it and it didn't last long before she started to poke that weird thing!

That water... it's moving?!

I usually have a drinking fountain for my cats, but recently the water pump broke down and the loose pumps weren't in stock. When they were available again I got a new one, so Salla got to experience moving water! :O

At first she sat at a distance, slightly scared of it. But it didn't take long before she went to have a closer look.

I quickly went to get a camera, because those front paws kept going up and I knew it wouldn't take long before she'd attack the water!

And there she went :)

Slapping and poking at the water stayed fun for quite some time...

And everytime she got a wet paw, she had to wash her paw and face. When her paws were dry enough, she just started over! :O

Silly face ^_^

Salla's doing fantastic at the moment! And she's really becoming a little lady, slim with long paws and a long tail. There's not much left of her chubby belly, but she still loves to eat :P Normally I lock up kittens during the night, to give my cats, the kitten(s) and me some rest, but catching her in the evening stayed an issue. I had a feeling it didn't help her adjusting a bit more, so decided to try it for a night with Salla free in the house. And it went great, she didn't bug me or the cats much during the night, and stayed away from my wiggling toes under the duvet until it was morning (and then she had a blast with it, haha). I was afraid she'd be a bit scared of me in the morning, but it's quite the opposite, it really helped her a lot to like me even more. She's near me and/or the cats most of the day, checks more often what I'm doing, enjoys watching my screen, comes when I call for her, etc. It's awesome to see ^_^ She already had someone visit her for a possible adoption, but Salla's a bit shy around strangers and unfortunately there wasn't really a click, so she's still available. I hope she gets to spend Christmas in a new home :)

Slacking & playing

Last time I wrote that Salla wasn't so interested in me, but I guess she read that as well, because she turned around a lot, yay! Now she's cuddly throughout the house, so cute ^_^ Dewey is still often more interesting, but she's doing great now and I think she'll only improve further! Ahh, it's so nice and rewarding to see :) I haven't been able to post as much about her as I'd like, but here's a bunch of pics at least!

Cuddly on the couch

I dunno about you, but I ♥ cat paws, so cute and soft and fuzzy!

If there's something she loves now it's cat milk, which I use to help her improve as well. I often give her just a teeny tiny bit, but here she got a bit more to share with Bindi :)

The other day she was incredibly cuddly all day long. She was on my lap a lot as well, here she joined me behind the pc. Needless to say, my screen got little attention from me! :L

My monitor became fun as well, bug on the screen! Yep, that's another foster kitty that loves WoW :P

Slacky on a beany bag

When I took some photos for my other blog, she disovered my background (a spaghetti top) and ohh she just couldn't resist!

The playrails are still fun, not as fun as when she just discovered them, but they are nice to lie against as well

Planning an attack on Dewdew :)
